I recently installed a Ubuntu 22.03 LTS and fired up a Cisco Genie / pyATS Installation. But unfortunately I could not connect to devices… :-(
After some research it seems that with Ubuntu 22.04 some of the Key-Exchange Algorithms and some of the accepted Host-Key-Algorithms were not in use anymore by default.
So one has to add the following statements into /etc/ssh/ssh_config :
HostKeyAlgorithms +ssh-rsa
PubkeyAcceptedAlgorithms +ssh-rsa
KexAlgorithms +diffie-hellman-group14-sha1
With the entries above added the connections with genie / pyATS should work again on Ubuntu 22.04.
